DIY fruit infused water is a wonderful option for summer when the sun is shinin’ and you need something healthy and refreshing. I have made a variety of fruit infused waters and I personally really enjoyed this combination. The mint really gives this drink that refreshing kick. This water has a very gentle flavor and is not too sweet like many juices. I know similar recipes are helpful in detoxing. A lot of people have effectively used fruit infused water to help them lose weight. There are many benefits from drinking fruit infused water.
Some infused water benefits include:
– Boosts your metabolism
– Keeps food moving through your system
– Flushes toxins
– Fills you up so you don’t eat as much junk food
– Naturally helps your body release fat cells
– Reduces muscle fatigue while working out
– Helps you recuperate faster from a workout
The longer the water sits, the stronger the flavor becomes. If you drink the water within the first day, you can add more water and re-infuse to get a second use out of one batch. I have done this in the past and the second batch always tastes great. Usually, a gallon lasts me about two days. Whenever I make any specialty beverage I like to keep it in this super cute mason jar canister pictured above.
You can also use lemon and mint or any combination you like!
