May I present to you the best chocolate chip cookies ever? This recipe is very quick and easy and is sure to be a crowd pleaser. These are by far the very best chocolate chip cookies I have ever made. This recipe took time and a few years of testing different ingredients to get them just right. They are thick and fluffy, super soft, and have chewy ooey-gooey centers. What more could you ask for in a cookie?!
I have had many people ask me for the recipe in the past (after gobbling down half the batch, of course). This recipe is genuinely my own and I’m so glad to share with you all. After years of tweaking an ingredient here and an ingredient there, I have it perfected (imho).
Seriously, these cookies are so good – I feel like I gain five pounds every time I make them… It’s bad.
These will stay soft and delicious for days.
If you like less of a cake-y texture, add 1/2c less flour.
Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons hot water
1/2 teaspoon salt
16 oz Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F
Cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla
Add salt to the batter
Stir in flour
Add chocolate chips
Drop by large rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets
Bake for about 13 minutes in preheated oven, (preferably on top rack) or until edges are brown (your cooking time will vary depending on your oven and how doughy you like your cookies).
Let cool for about 15 mins or more.
I hope you love them as much as I do!
Let me know what you think 🙂
