My favorite part of gender reveals is the surprise element for everyone involved.
It is so much fun seeing the parents reaction!
This time, since I was the one planning the party, I was in on the secret :). I really enjoy party planning and entertaining, so it was a lot of fun for me.
My sister in law, Nicole, is having a third boy! Elliot Lucas Matute. I am so excited and can’t wait to meet him. I’m sure he will be just as sweet and cute as his brothers.
Nicole blogs over at www.letterstomyboys.net. She is a really talented writer, – and my sister 😉 – so be sure to check her out.
For the party, I got most of the decor from Target and Party City.
All of the “Girl or Boy” Supplies came from Party City & pretty much everything else came from Target.
I just used an old moving box to create the surprise box. You can get these large boxes in the stationery section at Wal-mart.
We filled the box with balloons so when they opened the box they would know girl or boy.
I painted the box with black acrylic paint and used a chalk marker to write on it. It’s definitely not professional, but thankfully, it looked cute when everything was finished.
This is what Madison was up to while I was working away… Stuffing the toilet with all sorts of things. *SMH*
My cute gender-neutral outfit 😉
Love all the pink and gold. One day ill get a niece <3
I put fresh fruit in the bottoms of the cups and then filled them with sprite.
We had tacos and Mexican type foods at the party, so I decided to make these Churro cupcakes. They were really really good. Not too sweet and the cake/frosting was delish. Here is the link to the recipe if you’d like to try it out.
Well, I hope you enjoyed reading about our little gender reveal celebration.
Thankful for all of the little blessings the Lord has given our family.
If you are planning a gender reveal party, I’d love to hear the details. What theme did you decide on? How will you reveal the gender?
