Madison is walking all over the place! She has been taking steps for a while… but now she is practically running all over. I can’t stand it–Babies grow up way too fast. It makes me so thankful to be able to stay home with them! Lord, help me to to always have a thankful attitude and to cherish each and every day that I get to be at home with my family.

This week has been so busy! We are getting ready for Madison’s first birthday on Saturday. Her actual birthday was August 11th, but because schedules have been so hectic lately, we decided to push the party out a bit. I can’t wait! I love her theme, (Nautical Girl) and have been really enjoying preparing all the decorations, favors, etc.
Maddie got the cutest gift in the mail for her birthday this week! Chloe the Bunny from cuddleandkind. Chloe is a knit doll made in Peru. All their dolls are handmade, and each doll you purchase donates ten meals. I thought that was pretty impressive! Wesley got Benedict the Bunny also.. even though it is not his birthday–thank you Grandma! He absolutely loves him. Maddie really took a liking to her doll, also…

Today has been a good day considering the circumstances. My oldest, Wesley (three years old), came down with a fever last night. He has been pretty lethargic all day-which is so sad and pitiful to watch-but that has allowed me to get a lot done. Sometimes an entire day at home is needed after a busy week. Madison has been on the move lately. She is crawling everywhere and seems to be getting into everything! I turn my back for a minute and she has completely destroyed half the house.. ok that might be a little bit of an exaggeration.. but she is a little busy body!
