I received the Clarisonic Mia 2 as a gift about a year ago now, and have been using it regularly ever since. There are some products that are expensive but easily replaced by a comparable drug store product. This is not one of those products! I have tried a comparable drug store product and it was absolutely nothing like my clarisonic. I tried the cheaper Olay version, and wasn’t impressed. In my opinion, the Clarisonic Mia 2 is truly worth the splurge…especially if you have acne prone skin like I do.

What differences have I noticed in my skin since I began using it?
The very first time I used it, I was blown away. My skin felt so clean and I could immediately see that a lot of dead skin had come off. I have combination skin. Dry sometimes but usually oily in the t-zone. Unlike a lot of exfoliators, this one didn’t leave my skin feeling tight or irritated and red. I have large pores, and I can see a difference in the size of my pores over time for sure. I also notice that my acne prone skin has improved. I still get a few pimples here and there, but not major breakouts like before.
You will instantly be able to feel the difference in your skin. It feels so super soft after using the Clarisonic.
I generally use the Clarisonic one time per day, usually in the shower at night or in the morning. Yes, even with my incredibly sensitive dry skin, I can use this twice a day without issue. Since I do have acne prone skin, I like to stick to one cleanser and moisturizer. I have been using Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser for quite a while now and really like it. I find this cleanser really hydrates my skin and preps it for my makeup by smoothing out any dry or rough patches. This cleanser is designed for sensitive skin, so it’s fragrance free. At night, I use it with Cerave Moisturizing Lotion. The scent is very clean and gentle and doesn’t irritate.
Hmm what else…my makeup looks better! Now that my skin is smoother my foundation definitely appears smoother and I don’t have very many bumps on my cheeks like I used to… I don’t know what those were… but they’re gone now. I also find that I can get a nice smooth finish without piling on layers of makeup.
I really can’t recommend this product enough. It’s changed my skin for the better, and I don’t intend to be without it ever again. It’s definitely worth the investment in my book!
